Equipped with a powerful motor adjustable to three speeds, the PCW3000-Li can be used both indoors and outdoors, down to -14˚C (-6.8˚F). A brushless electric motor that is 360° inclinable. It's a direct drive, meaning no clutch. Always ready to work, no maintenance is required when you put it away.

Pulling hazard trees over and hung up trees is so easy with this. Easy and quick to setup. Also dragging brush up a steep hill everyone loves it at work!

Portable Winch's customer service is exceptional. No endless "prompts", no lengthy waits on hold to speak to a human. They quickly corrected my order error, shipping it the same day and I received the winch in 2 days (USA).
The only issue was that the Greenworks battery was defective. They promptly contacted their Michigan supplier who did a Warranty replacement. Fortunately, I received this in time for our scheduled seasonal dock pull. The pull went well. This unit is so light and powerful. The best part is no endless unspooling of metal cable to get the length that you require, Select the length of rope that you need, wind it around the capstan drum and you are good to go!

The unit is the first product I have used from portable winch. I have numerous uses of capstan equipment of corded variety and have used them in the installation of pulling conductors through raceways (conduit). This unit I purchased for the use of retrieval of logs and manipulation of felling timber. I recently used this to pull a white pine off an overhead communications line and the unit was not able to lift it with an indirect pull single line. However with blocks and additional pulleys I was able to get enough pull power to lift tree off cable and set safely on the ground.
Rigging experience and capstan use helps with operation but is not necessary for operation. Battery life has been significant for load and use. If using regularly I would consider one additional battery for hot swapping. Electric is more convenient and cleaner for storage and transportation. Torque is consistent and reliable. I would recommend this product for others and hope to use it for assistance in erecting timber bents as well in the future.
